NORTHWOOD SCHOOL

Northwood School is a co-ed residential independent boarding school (grades 9 - 12) situated in the beautiful mountain village of Lake Placid, New York. Known for its sporting history, Lake Placid played host of the 1980 and 1932 Winter Olympic Games.

Since 1905, Northwood School’s mission has been rooted in two imperative duties: to foster growth in young people and to prepare them to engage their world. A Northwood School education provides students with first hand experiences that allow them to find and explore their passions, hone their skills, and build a knowledge base that will prepare them to face the challenges of the modern world. The experiences also set Northwood School students apart in the college admissions process.
